Today is day five with no hot water due to a faulty hot water heater. It was supposedly fixed yesterday but at 4am decided to boil like a giant kettle. Fortunately the pressure release valve worked, safely venting hot water and steam instead of exploding. A new water heater is being installed this afternoon and I cannot wait to have a hot shower and wash my hair! I have hidden my hair underneath a crochet cap this morning, but that got uncomfortable, so I have now captured my birds nest of hair in two large clips.
So yes, I am quite the fashion plate today. As it is windy and cold I have two pairs of socks on, trackies that are a bit too loose, an old jumper and a skivvy under that. And of course, my birds nest hair which may possibly be becoming self-aware and planning on attacking me if it doesn’t get washed soon. Noice.
On the craft front, I am still working away on my blanket. I’m getting close to having enough granny squares completed to form a decent sized blanket. Looking forward to joining all the squares and learning a new technique. I’m impatiently awaiting the delivery of a book I am so looking forward to reading; Beyond The Square Crochet Motifs, by Edie Eckman.
Maybe the book has been scared off by my hair? It certainly scares me!
If you do not hear from me in 24 hours, please send vats of shampoo, conditioner and a swat team of hairdressers.
